UPDATED: Man in Wounded in Long Beach Shooting Dies

A man killed in a shooting in Long Beach has been identified as a 24-year-old San Diego resident.

Nicholas Andrade was found shot in the torso in the 1900 block of Harbor Avenue. Paramedics rushed Andrade to the hospital but he died, officers said.

Investigator said there is no suspect information yet available. The incident is being investigated as possibly gang-related.

A man was fatally shot Saturday night in west Long Beach, a police sergeant said.

Officers were dispatched at 9:20 p.m. to the 1900 block of Harbor Avenue, according to Long Beach police Sgt. Aaron Eaton.

"Officers arrived and found a male adult suffering from a gunshot wound," Eaton said. "The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries."

There was no suspect information and it was not known if the shooting was gang-related, Eaton said.
