Update: Man Killed by SUV as He Steps Off LB Curb
Long Beach crash on Seventh Street leaves one man dead.
A man was fatally struck by a sport utility vehicle as he stepped off a curb at Seventh Street in Long Beach Friday night, police said.
Witnesses reported the man, whose name and age were not immediately available, was hit by a westbound Range Rover about 6:45 p.m. in the 6100 block of East Seventh Street, said Long Beach police Cpl. John Fagan.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Fagan said. The driver of the Range Rover stopped after the crash and was not cited, Fagan said.
