Long Beach Woman's Body Found in Car Trunk

Anna Oung, 29, had been reported missing for about an hour when her body was found late Tuesday in Irvine.

An autopsy was scheduled today after the body of a missing Long Beach woman was found late Tuesday night in the trunk of a car parked in Irvine, police say.

Anna Oung, 29, had been missing for about one hour, KABC reported police as saying, when her body was found just after 11 p.m. (Police earlier had said she had been missing for five hours.) Her husband called police to say that he saw her car on Beech Tree Lane at University Drive, Irvine police Lt. Julia  Engen said. Police searching the car then found the body which, according to The Orange County Register, showed signs of injury.  An autopsy on Oung's body was expected to be performed today.
