Man Shot and Wounded in Long Beach

Details remained slim but the shooting occurred early Saturday, police said.

A man was wounded in a shooting in Long Beach early Saturday, Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Nancy Pratt said.

Long Beach Fire Department paramedics were sent just after midnight to 1036 St. Louis Avenue, which is west of Junipero above 10th Street, Fire Department dispatcher said.

The victim, whose name, age and condition were unavailable, was taken to a hospital, Long Beach police spokeswoman Pratt said.
