Long Beach Police Department Sunday asked for the public's help in
finding an elderly woman who suffers from Alzheimer’s and who walked
from her Long Beach home.
Noorieh Manavi-Namegh went missing from her home in the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Ultimo
Avenue between 5:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday, according to Long Beach police.
Her family called police when Manavi-Nameghi did not return home by 1:30 p.m.
Her family indicated that she suffers from Alzheimer’s and dementia, and has
missed her last two cycles of medication. She has only been in the
United States for a few years and does not speak English.
walked away from her home on a previous occasion, and once was clipped by a
vehicle when she wandered onto the 405 Freeway.
has gray hair and brown eyes, stands 5 feet 5 and weighs 115 pounds; she
wore a black jacket, blue pants, brown sketcher type shoes and a
bracelet with her name on it.
Local hospitals have been alerted and area law enforcement and public
transportation agencies have also been notified, officials said.
