Tuesday, September 20

AUTO BURGLARY – 2000 block of San Vincente – 5:00 a.m. The
victim confronted two male suspects attempting to burglarize his vehicle. One of the suspects brandished an unknown object at the victim as both suspects fled the scene.  The investigation is continuing. -- Council District 5


SUSPICIOUS DEVICE – 1700 block of Alamitos Avenue – 8:30 a.m. A possible explosive device was located in the front planter of an apartment complex. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department bomb squad responded and confiscated the device for testing purposes. -- Council District 6

FELONY SUSPECT ARRESTED – 2000 block of Olive Avenue – 10:00 a.m. A male adult suspect was taken into custody for burglary after patrol officers saw the suspect exiting a private residence. The loss was returned to the rightful owner. -- Council District 6

SUSPICIOUS DEVICE – 7th Street and Bellflower Boulevard – 9:00 p.m. A suspicious device was located on the California State University of Long Beach campus. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department bomb squad responded and determined the object was not a danger. -- Council District 3
