Monday, August 22

Council District 5  

FELONY SUSPECT ARRESTED – 7200 block of East Carson Street – 9:30 a.m. Police responded to a local retail store after employees recognized an adult male as the person who robbed the business earlier in the week. Officers arrived at the scene and surrounded the business. The suspect attempted to flee but was detained by officers. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Council District 9

ASSAULT – 1900 Block of East Artesia Boulevard – 7:30 p.m. Officers responded to the scene of a dispute, which had escalated into an assault. Officers arrived and discovered an adult female suspect had assaulted an adult female victim with a bladed weapon. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries to her upper body and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The investigation is ongoing.

Council District 6

ASSAULT – 2000 block of Pine Avenue – 8:30 p.m. Officers responded to the scene of a shooting and located an adult male victim. The victim sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his lower body. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

ASSAULT – 1800 block of Chestnut Avenue – 9:00 p.m. Officers responded to the scene of a shooting and located an adult male victim. The victim sustained non-life threatening gunshot wounds to his upper torso. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

Tuesday, August 23

Council District 4

FELONY SUSPECT ARRESTED – 2100 East Anaheim Street – 4:00 a.m. Officers responded to the report of a burglary in process at a local business. Officers surrounded the business and initiated a search of the location. Officers located an adult female suspect in possession of stolen property from the business. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. The investigation is ongoing.
