Thursday, August 18
Council District 6
FELONY ARREST – 2500 block of Long Beach Boulevard – 2:30 p.m. Officers investigating a street robbery successfully located the adult male suspect outside of a local restaurant. Officers took the robbery suspect into custody without incident.

ROBBERY – 1800 block of Pacific Avenue – 8:30 p.m. An adult male suspect approached an adult female victim on the street and physically assaulted her. The suspect proceeded to steal the victim’s property. The victim sustained minor non-life threatening injuries to her upper body, which did not require medical attention. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY – 1200 Mira Mar Avenue – 9:30 p.m. Officers responded to a residential burglary, secured the location and found several items had been stolen. The investigation is ongoing.
Council District 8
ASSUALT – 5500 block of Ackerfield Avenue – 10:30 p.m. Officers responded to a report of shots fired. When officers arrived they found evidence of a shooting. Nobody was injured but property was struck by gunfire. The investigation is ongoing.
Friday, August 19
Council District 9
Vehicle Fire – 2800 block of East South Street – 12:30 a.m. An officer noticed flames and smoke emanating from a nearby alley while patrolling in the area. The officer discovered a vehicle was on fire near residences and requested the Long Beach Fire Department respond to put out the fire. Firefighters arrived and extinguished the vehicle fire. There were no injuries and no damage caused to any structures.
