Council District 2

ROBBERY -- 1100 block of East 10th Street – 12:30 p.m. Two male suspects, one armed with a handgun, entered a local business and forcibly took loss from the employee.  No injuries were reported and the suspects fled prior to the police arriving. The investigation is ongoing.

Council District 9

SHOTS CALL – 1200 block of East South Street – 9:00 p.m. Officers
were dispatched to a report of shots fired.  When they arrived they were unable to locate a crime scene or a victim(s).  The investigation is continuing.

Council District 8

ROBBERY – 5400 block of Cherry Avenue – 10:00 p.m. A male suspect approached a female victim and robbed her of her personal belongings. The victim was not injured. The investigation is ongoing.

Saturday, August 6

Council District 9

ASSAULT – 2900 block of Artesia Boulevard – 12:30 a.m. An adult victim walked into a local hospital, after an altercation, with a non-life threatening injury to his upper body. Officers responded for a report and the investigation is ongoing.

Council District 6

ROBBERY – 200 block of East Willow Street – 7:00 a.m. A male adult victim was robbed of his personal belongings at a local business. The male suspect fled prior to the police arriving.  The investigation is continuing.

Council District 5

AIRPORT INCIDENT – 4100 block of Donald Douglas Drive – 3:00 p.m. A World War II plane was forced to make an emergency landing at the Long Beach Airport. The airplane sustained minor damage and no one was injured. 

Sunday, August 7

Council District 6

ROBBERY – 2100 block of Pacific Avenue – 9:30 a.m. An unknown male adult suspect snatched a female victim’s personal property and fled on foot.  The victim was not injured and the investigation is ongoing.

Council District 1

ROBBERY – 300 block of East Anaheim Street – 2:00 p.m. A female adult walked into a local business and robbed the clerk and a customer at gunpoint.  No one was injured and the suspect is
outstanding.  The investigation is ongoing.

ASSAULT – 800 block of Cedar Avenue – 11:30 p.m. A male victim was stabbed in the upper body after being involved in an altercation at a private party.  The victim was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Monday, August 8 -- No significant activity to report.
