Friday, September 2

TRAFFIC COLLISION –500 block of West Willow Avenue – 5:30
a.m.
Officers responded to the scene of a traffic collision where injuries had been reported. Officers arrived and found a pedestrian had suffered major injuries after being struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital to be treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries. The collision is still under investigation. -- Council District 7    

ROBBERY – 900 block of East Market Street – 4:30 p.m. An adult male victim was negotiating the purchase of items from an adult male suspect when the suspect assaulted the victim and demanded money. The victim fled from the scene before the suspect could take anything. The victim sustained minor non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing. -- Council District 8

Saturday, September 3

ASSAULT – 100 block of East Broadway – 3:30 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the scene of an assault where an adult male subject was walking down the street when a group of adult male suspects assaulted him. The victim sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries to his upper body and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. The investigation is ongoing. -- Council District 2

ASSAULT - 100 block of Aquarium Way – 3:30 a.m. An adult male victim was leaving a party when a group of adult male suspects assaulted him. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries to his upper body and drove himself to a local hospital for medical treatment. The investigation is ongoing. -- Council District 2    

ROBBERY – 6000 block of Paramount Boulevard – 7:30 p.m. Officers responded to the scene of a robbery where three adult suspects assaulted an adult female victim and proceeded to take her property. The Long Beach Fire Department transported the victim to a local hospital to be treated for minor non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing. -- Council District 9

ASSAULT – 1300 block of Long Beach Boulevard – 10:00 p.m. Officers responded to the report of an adult male suspect who assaulted two adult male victims as they were exiting a public bus. One of the victims sustained injuries requiring medical attention and was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in serious condition. The investigation is ongoing. -- Council District 6

ROBBERY – 6900 block of Paramount Boulevard – 11:30 p.m. An adult male victim was approached by a male suspect who attempted to forcibly take the victim’s personal belongings. The victim fought back and the suspect fled. The victim was not injured and the investigation is ongoing. -- Council District 9

Sunday, September 4

FELONY SUSPECTS ARRESTED – 1000 block of Lime Avenue – 12:00 a.m. Patrol officers responded to a report of a robbery that occurred at a local business. Officers responded to the area and located two suspects responsible for the robbery. The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the crime. -- Council District 6

ROBBERY – 1800 block of Cedar Avenue – 4:30 a.m. A male adult suspect approached two victims and robbed them at gunpoint of their vehicle. The victims were not injured. The investigation is ongoing. -- Council District 6

BURGLARY – 15th Street and Ximeno Avenue – 9:00 a.m. Patrol officers were dispatched to an auto burglary that had occurred overnight. After responding, officers discovered several other vehicles had also been burglarized. Police reports were filed and a lab unit responded for further investigation. -- Council District 4

ASSAULT – 2000 block of Long Beach Boulevard – 2:00 p.m. An unknown suspect(s) fired shots at an inhabited residence. No injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing. -- Council District 6

SIGNIFICANT EVENT – Davies Launch Ramp – 5:30 p.m. A vehicle sunk while attempting to tow a boat out of the water. Long Beach Fire Department Lifeguards responded to assist the driver. -- Council District 3

ASSAULT – Paramount Boulevard and 65th Way – 6:30 p.m. Two male adult suspects fired a gunshot at a pedestrian. The victim was not injured. The investigation is ongoing. -- Council District 9

FELONY SUSPECT ARRESTED – 70 block of Aquarium Way – 10:00 p.m. A bystander attempted to break up a fight between two adults. The suspect pulled out a knife and cut the victim in the lower body. The victim sustained a minor injury and the suspect was arrested without incident. -- Council District 2

BOMB THREAT – 100 block of Pine Avenue – 10:00 p.m. The Communication Center received phone calls regarding a bomb threat to local restaurants. Officer responded and determined the phone calls to be a hoax. The investigation is ongoing. -- Council District 2

Monday, September 5

THEFT – 600 block of Cedar Avenue – 1:00 p.m. A Water Department employee reported the theft of multiple electrical box lids. A police report was taken and detectives are continuing the investigation. -- Council District 1

FELONY SUSPECTS ARRESTED – 1300 block of Pine Avenue – 9:30 p.m. Officers responded to a call of two armed robbery suspects
in the 1300 block of Pine Avenue. Patrol officers responded quickly and located two male suspects who were safely taken into custody. The victim was not injured during the robbery. -- Council District 1

FELONY SUSPECT ARRESTED – 1st Street and Bennett Avenue – 11:30 p.m. Officers patrolling the Belmont Shore area located a suspicious vehicle and learned the car was stolen. The driver, a parolee, was arrested without incident. -- Council District 3

Tuesday, September 6 -- No significant activity to report.
