Long Beach Police Ask the Public's Help in Finding a Missing Man

Samai Hun, 80, has Alzheimer's and has been missing since 12:30 Thursday.

An 80-year-old man with Alzheimer's disease went missing in Long Beach today and police sought the public's help in locating him.

Samai Hun was last seen at 12:30 p.m. when he walked away from a medical office in the 1200 block of East Carson Street, Long Beach police officials said.

Hun, who speaks only Khmer, has walked away in the past and may have covered considerable distance since he was last seen, police said.

Hun is Cambodian, 5 feet 2 inches tall and 128 pounds. He was wearing a baseball cap, blue jacket, blue polo shirt and blue jeans.
