Update: Missing Long Beach Woman Located

Phyllis Geil was last seen at her assisted living facility on Artersia Boulevard and Obispo Avenue at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Update:

At approximately 7:00 p.m. tonight,  Long Beach Police received notification from LA County USC Medical Center that reported missing person Phyllis Geil had been located and admitted into to their facility, and was in their care.

The Long Beach Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating Phyllis Geil, the 78-year-old woman who walked away from an elder care facility on Artesia Boulevard & Obispo Avenue on Saturday at around 5 p.m. 

Geil is described as a white female with grey hair, blue eyes, who is 5'9" and weighs 170 lbs. She was last seen wearing a white shirt and white pants with black shoes.

According to the statement released by Long Beach PD, the facility first reported Geil missing at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

The Long Beach Police Department continues to search for Phyllis Geil.  Local hospitals have been alerted and area law enforcement and public transportation agencies have also been notified. Anyone sees the victim or has additional information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Long Beach Police Department at (562) 435-6711 or 9-1-1.
