Long Beach Man Gunned Down

Lashown Fils, 26, was killed Wednesday morning in Long Beach.

One male was shot to death on Wednesday at approximately 3:55 a.m. in the 200 block of W. 14th Street in Long Beach.

Officers from the Long Beach Police Department responded to a shooting incident early Wednesday morning, and when officers arrived on the scene, they discovered the victim, identified as 26-year-old Lashown Fils of Long Beach, down in the street. Long Beach Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased a few hours later.

Detectives do not believe Fils was a gang member and motive behind the shooting is currently unknown. An investigation into the shooting is ongoing and no suspects have been identified.
