11 people have been shot or murdered in Long Beach over the first 11 days of 2012. Meanwhile, Long Beach police are focused on the dangerous occupy movement in Bixby park. http://www.lbreport.com/news/jan12/shotsjan.htm http://www.lbpost.com/news/staffreports/13049

Four cops in the US and territories were murdered by gunfire in the first eight days of this year, yet all Ruehle can focus on is that LBPD is continuing to monitor (in a courteous and professional manner) a local activist group, meeting in a public place, that has already demonstrated a propensity for lawlessness and public disruption. http://www.odmp.org/search/year/2012
