Long Beach Freeway Roll-Over Traps Passengers

No one was killed in the early morning crash at the Ocean Boulevard entrance to the 710 Freway.

A black Toyota 4Runner rolled over and one person was ejected early Sunday on the Ocean Boulevard on-ramp to the Long Beach (710) Freeway, a Long Beach firefighter said.

Four people were transported to hospitals, three in unknown condition and one with minor injuries, after the accident reported at 1:55 a.m., said firefighter Matt Dobberpuhl.

``There were five people inside the car. One person was ejected and two self-extricated, but two were trapped inside,'' Dobberpuhl said. Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free the two people who were trapped. They were transported to hospitals, along with the person who was ejected, he said.

One of the people who scrambled out of the crashed vehicle later complained about pain and was also transported to a hospital, Dobberpuhl said.
