In Child's Shooting, Do You Know These Suspects?

Long Beach Police Department released a surveillance video they say features participants in a shooting in which stray bullets struck 10-year-old boy and a man.

Long Beach police Monday released video footage of what the department labeled suspects in the gas station shooting that left a 10-year-old boy critically injured and another bystander less seriously wounded.

The double shooting happened Friday at about 8 p.m. at the gas station at Long Beach and Del Amo boulevards, said Nancy Pratt of the Long Beach Police Department. On the video, most of the people running by the camera do so by 40 seconds into the 53-second tape.

The boy's parents, pictured in the vehicle at the center of the picture, took him to a Long Beach police substation about a quarter-mile away, and officers there rushed him to a hospital, Pratt said.

The gunfire broke out among a group of males who were arguing near the shooting scene, Pratt said. They have not been identified nor arrested. Anyone with information about their identities or whereabouts was urged to call Long Beach police Detective Jessie Fragoso at (562) 570-7250.
