Fiery Long Beach Crash Victim is Identified
Coroner releases the name of the teenager killed in Long Beach Freeway offramp collision.
A 19-year-old Paramount man whose car plowed into a tree on a Long Beach Freeway offramp was identified on Friday by the L.A. County Coroner's Office.
The man killed in the single-car crash on the Long Beach Boulevard off-ramp of the Long Beach (710) Freeway in Long Beach was identified as Gilbert Ledezma.
The collision was reported at 8:24 p.m. Thursday on the northbound Long Beach Boulevard off-ramp, said California Highway Patrol Officer Christian Cracraft. Ledezma, was pronounced dead at the scene, Cracraft said.

Ledezma was driving a Toyota Corolla about 60 m.p.h. in the No. 3 lane when he swerved to the right across the gore point, fishtailed, regained control, accelerated to around 65 mph and failed to negotiate a curve, said CHP Officer Monica Posada. The Toyota struck a tree and caught fire, Posada said.
