One motorcyclist was killed and a second critically injured Friday night in a crash on Second Street between Glendora and Pomona Avenue at about 8:45 p.m. that shut down part of the busy thoroughfare, the Long Beach Police Department said.
Sgt. Aaron Eaton, department spokesman, confirmed the crash, first announced in a Nixel alert. He said two motorcycles and another vehicle were involved in some kind of collision, and the department advised motorists via Nixel alert to avoid the area.
Cause of the incident will not be detaiedl until the investigation is complete, Eaton stressed. Details have not been released in any detail beyond the crash, and that detectives are responding to the crash site. Patch will update as we get details.
