Expect Long Beach Freeway Closures on Sunday
Downtown on-ramps and exits will shut down for seven hours, starting around dawn.
Parts of the Long Beach Freeway will close Sunday morning, April 3, and won't open until early that afternoon.
On the southbound side of the 710, expect closure of the Sixth Street, Broadway and Golden Avenue exits.
On the freeway's northbound side, the on-ramps will close at Shoreline Drive, Ocean Boulevard, Third Street and Seventh Street.

In making the announcement, the Long Beach Police Department adds that there will be message signs directing motorists to use the Anaheim East exit to get downtown. The shutdown comes as part of a freeway cleanup project, the department says.
