The black Toyota SUV jumped the curb and plowed through a fence and some bushes before coming to rest at a 45-degree angle with its front end punched into the house, according to a news photographer's video.

A neighbor who heard the crash ran outside and when the driver opened his door, several empty beer cans came falling out, he told the photographer.

“It sounded like ... clank, clank, clank, clank clank ... just like a slot machine,” Karel Boulet said of the empty cans rolling out of the SUV.

The driver ran off but was apprehended by police a block away, Henry said.
