Dead Body Found in Long Beach Home

Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of death.

Authorities Wednesday investigated the death of a man whose body was found in a residence in Long Beach.

The body was discovered about 10:55 p.m. Tuesday in the 1400 block of Alamitos Avenue, said Marlene Arrona of the Long Beach Police Department.

The name of the dead man, who was in his 40s, was withheld, pending notification of relatives, said coroner's Chief Craig Harvey. An autopsy will have to be conducted to determine his cause of death.
