Another Long Beach Home Invasion
A handgun was displayed but the resident wasn't injured. He may have been targeted because he's an electronics repairman, police said.
A pair of robbers burst into a Long Beach residence house south of Pacific Coast Highway near Redondo Avenue and stole cash and electronic devices, police said. The two males forced their way into the home about 9:19 p.m. Friday.
The suspects entered the residence in the 1500 block of Obispo Avenue, said Long Beach Police Department Sgt. David Marander.
``At least one of the suspects was armed with an apparent handgun,'' Marander said. The suspects demanded and took cash and electronic devices, Marander said.

``It appears the victim was possibly targeted because he repairs electronic devices,'' Marander said. The victim was not injured and no additional information about the suspects was immediately available, Marander said.
It was not immediately clear if there was any link or similarity to a home invasion Wednesday night (Feb. 8) involving more intruders forcing into the home of a couple in their 60s, in the 2900 block of Daisy Avenue. In that earlier case, the couple suffered injuries that required hospital treatment and it occurred about 2:45 a.m.
