605 Freeway Crash Victim Was 22-Year-Old
Coroner releases the name of Sunday night crash.
Authorities released the name of a man killed when his vehicle went off the 605 (San Gabriel) Freeway and crashed near the Katella/Willow offramp.
The victim was Justin Messerschmidt, 22, of Huntington Beach, according to the Orange County coroner's office.
The crash that killed Messerschmidt was reported on the southbound 605 just south of the Katella Avenue/Willow exit at 5:58 p.m. Sunday. His white Chevrolet Silverado went off the road and crashed into a tree, killing him on impact, the California Highway Patrol reported.
