Assembly Candidate O'Donnell's Low Morals

City Councilman Patrick O'Donnell is giving up his City Council seat 2-years early to run for election to State Assembly.  This is exactly the opposite of what he told voters before his 2012 city council re-election as a write-in candiate when O'Donnell promised in recorded interviews, if re-elected, he would fulfill his 4-year Council term and NOT seek higher political office.  O'Donnell lied. Almost immediately following his re-election, O'Donnell filed papers to run for Assembly for the second time which will require a $150,000 special city council election paid-for by taxpayers.

A year earlier, when seeking election to Assembly for the first time, Patrick O'Donnell ASKED his good friend Daryl Supernaw to run for the 2012 city council seat he was leaving. Supernaw agreed to run for City Council election ONLY after securing O'Donnell's personal PROMISE to not later change his mind and seek re-election as a write-in candidate to city council and opponent to Supernaw. But change his mind and break his promise is exactly what Patrick O'Donnell did. Upon later learning from polling data he didn't stand a chance running for Assembly election against Bonnie Lowenthal, O'Donnell switched back to seeking City Council re-election to keep his name in politics in anticipation of higher office outside of Long Beach. In the process, O'Donnell broke his promise to his good friend Supernaw and  threw away his friendship.

Is O'Donnell the type of person you want representing you as your elected leader? Do you really want a liar and person whose word to personal friends means NOTHING?

Worse yet, O'Donnell claims his full-time occupation is a teacher. Just imagine what a person with such low moral standards is teaching your children.
