New Years Resolution

My New Years Resolutions to a brighter 2013.

As of writing this it is New Years Eve, and like many other people I have a few resolutions to make. I thought I’d share them with you as 2013 swiftly approaches us.

  1. More charitable causes

So far in 2012 the only causes I have helped were the following:

  • Camp Harmony, a camp which gives below poverty children from the ages of 7-12 a week of fun in Malibu.
  • Packaging rice for stophungernow.org
  • Helping my sister in package books for the local Roosevelt Elementary School

Although these are more numerous than the normal 15 year old, I still feel as if I can do more. Stay updated as my future plans may include you reading this.

2.Better Father and Mothers day presents

I always forget to buy both my parents meaningful or well thought out presents. Now that I have received an Iphone for Christmas, I can use the calendar feature to remind me as I am always on my phone.

3. Starting learning to drive

Many of my friends have taken the necessary steps to learn how to drive and some can. Although I cannot legally drive until May, I would like to start learning so when I receive my permit I can start right away saving my Mom several needed hours of sleep in the morning. Driving me to school is one of her least favorite things.

4. Become more environmentally conscious

I tend to waste a lot of electricity powering many devices. I take excess time in the shower. I also use plastics when eating occasionally. I need to buckle down and take a look at what I can cut from my daily routine to be apart of a cause to protect our earth. Not using as much electricity would be cheaper and would not come from fossil fuel burning plants that produce electricity. Not using as much water in the shower will help save water in our current drought we have here in California. Not using plastics will keep them out of landfills.

5. Be nicer to my sister

My sister(http://bit.ly/WbjgVT) is in my opinion a bit more demanding than other siblings I have seen. But, I can say that It is partly my fault for not making sacrifices as the role of big brother. I think 2013 will be the year I finally get along with my sister all of the time.

Hi Mark. I'll see if I can find out. Roughly what time and nearest landmark if any?

Prior to his election as a write-in candidate, Councilman Patrick O'Donnell told the Long BeachRead More Business Journal on February 28, 2012 the following:***** LBBJ: If you win the reelection, will you commit to a full four-year term?***** Councilman O'Donnell: If you run for four, you serve four. ***** LBBJ: So, you're not going to run for Assembly in two years? ***** O'Donnell: Correct. ***** LBBJ: No matter what? ***** O'Donnell: Correct. If you run for four, you serve four. ***** If you can't trust O'Donnell's word, why would anyone vote for him to be their representative for political office? ***** http://www.lbreport.com/news/jan13/odonlbbj.htm

And do his supporters care about this, do you think? No doubt others will.

Regarding, "do O'Donnell's supporters care?", many of O'Donnell's supporters are inRead More elected and appointed public positions, and their support of O'Donnell includes placing the financial burden of a $150,000 special election on the taxpayers. I would think that a responsible journalist would ask each of them about that issue.
