Long Beach Weather: Rain is Nearing an End

Monday delivered rain, and its successor (Tuesday) will likely do the same before the suns peeks out.

Rain drenched  Long Beach Monday, and according to weather reports, the same wet conditions could be expected for Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday's forecast for the Long Beach area includes a high of 60 and a low of 47, as well as a 30 percent chance of rain. That means local residents will potentially enjoy the thrill of using their tires to spray water on unsuspecting residents for at least one more day.

I refer to myself when I say 'unsuspecting residents', as I received my dousing on my way to Portfolio Coffeehouse on 4th Street around 11 a.m. Monday.

Interestingly enough, the NWS report also reads that Tuesday's early morning showers, predicted to take place before 4 a.m., "could produce small hail."

Monday night, Long Beach residents can expect a low of 48 and a 90 percent chance of rain, according to the NWS.

After Tuesday, according to weather services, clouds may linger but the temperature will hang around the mid-60s.
