Keep On Food Truckin': Ludo Truck in Long Beach

Hey foodies, it’s that time again. Can you believe its already the first week of April? I sure can't. This Wednesday, April 3, six trucks will be on Coronado and Redondo for the event Lunch Truck It.

This month there will be, Chunk-n-Chip, Grilled Cheese Truck, Kogi Korean BBQ, Lobsta Truck, Vizzi Truck, and newcomer Ludo Truck. I have previously blogged about the first five trucks, but the Ludo Truck is a new truck with a lot of hype. This truck has been given a Pulitizer Prize by food critic Jonathan Gold (who won a Pulitzer Prize for L.A. Weekly but just joined the L.A. Times staff) for being one of the 99 things to eat in L.A. before you die. If that doesn’t get you to try it I don’t know what will.

Ludo Truck's menu is everything chicken. Chicken sandwich, Black Truffle Burger, buttermilk chicken, Honey Garlic-Glazed Wings, and Crispy Breast Strips are just a few of the finger-licking creations on their menu. Every item on their menu comes with a choice of French fries, honey lavender biscuits or their famous slaw. Their secret weapon that makes an appearance on most of the sandwiches and burgers on their menu is their Béarnaise sauce.  My mouth is already watering just from typing the words. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into Ludo Truck's creations.

Another thing that I am realizing more and more about food trucks are their beverages. Keep your eye out for any types of drinks on menus of Food Trucks. The Grilled Cheese Truck has great original lemonade that will give you the perfect pucker. Ludo Trucks lists their Agua Fresca, which is a blood orange basil creation. It simply has blood oranges blended together with basil juice.

I hope to see you all there to try all of the delicious food! Remember the food trucks are on Coronado and Redondo from 1130 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday. It is behind the Walgreen's parking lot. WARNING: do not park in their parking lot, they will tow.
