Keep On Food Truckin'

Exciting News, foodies! More food trucks coming your way.

Good news foodies! The food truck event Lunch Truck It that happens on Coronado and Redondo every first Wednesday of the month has moves to every Wednesday.

This Wednesday, I enjoyed the fabulous event and was surprised by some new trucks. Komodo and Trailer Park Truck made a huge commotion at this weeks Lunch Truck It.

Komodo offered a more modern line up to their menu. Their main food focus is modern Asian fusion cuisine. Komodo offered four flavorful tacos on their menu. Their signature Komodo taco was a fan favorite. It features seared sirloin with a spicy Aioli and topped with corn salad. Another taco that made my mouth water is the Asian Marinated Chicken taco. This taco included grilled marinated chicken with stir-fried and topped with a slice of Mandarin oranges. These palm sized tacos pack major flavor. You might be thinking a gourmet modern food truck had to be expensive, but Komodo offers their tacos for only $3 each and four tacos for just $10. Naturally, I had to try four. Check below for a full menu listing.

Trailer Park Truck caused quite a commotion at this weeks Lunch Truck It. The name alone caught my attention, but more than that I saw the line.  At the start of the event the line was already packed 15 hungry people deep, so of course I did what any foodie would do and jumped in line. Their menu is focused on gourmet comfort food. With items like Aunt Mimi's Chicken and waffles to, my favorite, Country Fried Corn on a Stick your sure to leave feeling comforted. This truck caters to your hunger and to your wallet. They offer lunch specials and reasonably priced menu items so everyone can have that comforting feeling that can only be given by tons of greasy food. I jumped right in with the Country Fried Corn on a Stick. Corn on the cob deep fried? Who would have ever thought of that? whoever did may i just say thank you. This corn was deep fried to perfection. The perfectly zesty crunch followed by the sweet corn sent me directly into a food coma. Served with a "secret sauce" to dip in, i was in food heaven. The sauce was a mixture of chipotle aioli and honey mustard (according to my taste buds). I cant recommend this truck enough.

Remember this delicious event is now EVERY WEDNESDAY. I cant wait for you all to try these delicious trucks. Coronado and Redondo at 11:30. Parking can be tight so make sure to get their early. Happy food trucking!
