Volunteers from all over the South Bay joined an interfaith volunteer
build day with Habitat for Humanity Greater Los Angeles as part of a day
to mark the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
from St. Luke's Lutheran Church of Long Beach joined members of Pacific
Unitarian Church and Ascension Lutheran Church in Rancho Palos Verdes
and Trinity Lutheran Church of Hawthorne, among other religious
organizations, to complete work on the Long Beach-based project.
event, which took place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the d2000 block
of Atlantic Avenue, also featured a short program with speakers during
the lunch hour.
