Long Beach Heart Walk

American Heart Association of Orange County, Neighbor

The American Heart Association invites the community to the Long Beach Heart Walk to be held at Shoreline Village on Saturday, November 10, 2012. The goal of the event is to raise $300,000 to help in the fight against heart disease and stroke, which claim more than 865,000 American lives each year. 

The Heart Walk was created to build healthier lives by promoting healthy habits, such as walking, as a regular part of life.  Event attractions include a 5K walk/run, a 1-mile survivor route, a kids’ fun zone, live entertainment, a health expo, free blood pressure screenings, CPR demonstrations, and giveaways. 

Individuals, families, churches, schools, and companies are welcome to form Heart Walk groups.  There is no fee to participate and teams are eligible for fundraising prizes.
