DescriptionCali Bike Tours Bike Drive

Date: December 15th - December 18th
Drop-Off Days & Times: Thursday 10am - 6pm & Friday-Sunday 12pm - 5pm

... Do you have a bike sitting in your garage or in your backyard & it's not being used? Why not give the gift of cycling to someone less fortunate?

We are accepting bike donations to assist our underserved community with getting around town, going to school & work, running errands, and as a way to stay healthy & active. This first round of bikes will be offered to local women & girls transitioning out of challenging situations and into a better quality of life. With the gift of the bike we will also provide the ladies with training on basic bike safety, rules of the road & basic bike maintenance. This will allow the ladies to have a level of independence that they might not achieve without assistance from caring people like you.

If you don't have a bike lying around, but would still like to participate in helping these women & girls, we need bike locks (sturdy theft deterring U-locks), helmets, lights, baskets, tires & inner tubes so that the ladies won't have to worry about theft & safety. The bikes will be fully functional so they can carry groceries, be ridden at night, and have a level of security.

Volunteer Opportunities
Dates & Times: Thursday, December 15th from 10am - 6pm and Sunday, December 18th from 10am - 5pm

We are also looking for 5 volunteers who can help tune-up the bikes & add the accessories once we receive the donations. The HUB will provide all the needed tools. We have a couple of dates to choose from and will need approximately 4 hours of your time, but depending on your availability, will accept less. If this is a commitment you can make, we would love to have you and the ladies would appreciate it. The plan is to have the ladies participate as well in the tune-ups so they can become familiar with the workings of their new bikes.

Our community has needs that are going unmet and your contribution can help improve someone's quality of life. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and your generousity.
