Community Corner

7th St. Birthday Party

The collective neighborhoods of Craftsman Village, North Alamitos Beach and Rose Park along with their E. 7th St. retailers will once again celebrate shared history Tuesday, November 29th at Rivera’s Mexican Restaurant. A 1.5-mile- square area that includes these neighborhoods was annexed to the City of Long Beach on November 29, 1909, making the area 102 years old!

Please join the community at Rivera’s from 7pm-9pm for a look-back at what all have accomplished this year and plan for next year. There will be a display of the major intersections along E. 7th and what can be done to improve them, as well as an update of the E. 7th St. History Project.

Residents of Rose Park; Craftsman Village and North Alamitos Beach, E. 7th St. retailers, and those who have left E. 7th St. but still hold fond memories are encouraged to come. There is a $10 buffet for those who’d like dinner (alcoholic beverages extra). This year’s birthday party is sponsored by Anderson Real Estate Group, a longtime supporter of E. 7th St. projects.
