You are invited this Saturday to Open Up Long Beach -- Behind the Scenes at the Fire Training Center

You are invited to join Councilwoman Schipske for a tour of the Long Beach Fire Training Center at 2249 Argonne, to get a behind the scenes look at how Paramedics prepare for and respond to emergencies.

If you ever wondered how the Fire Department trains for specific types of fires and disasters, or how a paramedic team handles medical calls, then this is the event you've been waiting for. You will also see what it takes to maintain the emergency response teams that serve our City.

Our City's firefighters and paramedics continually train for various fire, disaster, and rescue scenarios so they are always ready to respond with the most up to date techniques. The Fire Training Center is a tremendous asset for Long Beach.

The July 27 Fire Training Center & Paramedic tour event will take place at the Long Beach Fire Training Center, from noon to 2:00 pm at 2249 Argonne.
