Arcadia Publishing has just signed me to write a 4th book on the history of Long Beach. My first three include: Rosie the Riveter in Long Beach, Early Aviation in Long Beach and Early Long Beach.
The newest book is titled: Legendary Locals of Long Beach and is part of Arcadia's national series on the people of past and present who make an impact on a city.
The publisher and I have our own lists of whom we think should be included, but I would like to offer readers the opportunity to nominate their own "ledgendary local of Long Beach."
Send me your nomination -- describe who they are and why they should be considered legendary and include a photograph since this is a photo essay book.
