West Coast Animal Rescue's 2nd Annual FUNdraiser

Did you know that black dogs have a lower chance of being adopted simply because of their color? Or that Chihuahuas - particularly black and tan ones - are the most commonly found breed in shelters today? West Coast Animal Rescue (WeCARe) is hosting it's 2nd annual BLACK Dog & TAN Chihuahua FUNdraiser to encourage people considering a family pet to rescue from a local rescue organization or animal shelter.

Every year, Long Beach Animal Care services handles tens of thousand of animals. Sadly, overcrowding makes this the final stop for many. Some dogs are hit harder than others - black dogs and black and tan Chihuahua's are adopted less often than other dogs because they are often perceived as menacing by potential adopters and difficult to photograph for marketing purposes.

Join us for an afternoon of wine, hors d'oeuvres and amazing raffles and prizes to support WeCARe's mission to save the most vulnerable dogs.
