About 200 leaders of businesses and organizations will meet at the Center Theater for a "debriefing session" on education following a day spent with principals of Long Beach schools.
The public is invited to attend the event in which U.S. Secretary of Education Senior Advisor Greg Darnieder will deliver a speech. Also attending are Long Beach Unified School District Superintendent Christopher J. Steinhauser, Long Beach City College President Eloy Ortiz Oakley, Cal State Long Beach Provost Don Para, Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Chair Jerry Miller, and Tricor Co-Founder Damon Dunn, according to a statement by the LBUSD.
