SPACIOUS VISION World AIDS Day 2012 Concert
The SPACIOUS VISION Song Project will present two concerts in observance of World AIDS Day 2012. Songs and poems from the AIDS Quilt Songbook will stand at the center of each concert. Conceived 20 years ago as a musical document of the growing pandemic of HIV/AIDS, the AIDS Quilt Songbook is a powerful testament to the engagement of poets, composers and performers with the personal and societal impact of the disease. The program will also include songs by Leonard Bernstein, Benjamin Britten, and others. The roster of accomplished performers includes: Diana Burbano (South Coast Repertory Theater, film and television), Christopher L. Reed (Piano, Eastman School of Music, Rochester, NY) Gerald Seminatore (Tenor, opera and art song performer in the USA and Europe), John Seesholtz (Baritone, advocate for the AIDS Quilt Songbook, prize-winning singer) and Christopher Ahn (Cellist).
