Come participate in a community based restoration event at the Colorado Lagoon! During Lagoon Afternoons, we will be working with Naturalists from the Friends of Colorado Lagoon (FOCL) restore and maintain native salt marsh habitat while learning about a dynamic local ecosystem.
Please wear appropriate shoes and sun protection. All tools are provided.
We offer service learning hours in exchange for your participation!
The Colorado Lagoon is located at 5119 E Colorado St
Long Beach, CA 90814. All events start at the Wetlands Science and Marine Education Center (WAMSEC) near the corner of Colorado Street and Appian Way.
