The public is invited to attend a meeting about the future of alternative fuels, advanced technology for the transportation industry, and hydrogen fuel cell electric cars by the Long Beach Clean Cities Coalition (Coalition).
According to the COALITION, the meeting will feature:
· Clean Energy Fuels discussing the benefits of deploying natural gas vehicles and projections about America’s Natural Gas Highway;
· California Fuel Cell Partnership providing an update on the state of hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles in California and the California Roadmap;
· The California State University, Los Angeles EcoCAR2 team providing an update on their progress to modify a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu into a parallel through-the-road, plug-in hybrid electric and announce details about their plans to create a learning community for middle and high school; and
· Information about the creation of an Alternative Fuel Village at the annual Wings Wheels & Rotors Event held at the Joint Forces Training Base Los Alamitos Army Airfield on October 28, 2012.
