“I want to thank Fifth District residents
for their support over the past 7.5 years. It’s been an honor and a privilege
to serve as your representative. The State of the Fifth meeting is an
opportunity to share our extensive accomplishments in shaping up the district's
infrastructure, parks, and libraries, and present the many improvements made by
myself and my staff to leave our district for the next councilmember in much
better condition then when I took office in 2006,” explained Councilwoman
Schipske.

The event, which has historically been attended
by an overflowing audience, will be held from 6-8 p.m., Monday, February 3 at
the Long Beach Groundwater Treatment Plant, 2950 Redondo Ave. Residents will
also be able to ask questions after the presentation.
