VIDEO: Dolphin Trapped in Wetlands

Rescue crews are trying to help a dolphin trapped in shallow water and separated from its pod.

Stranded in the Bolsa Chica Wetlands of Huntington Beach, a lone dolphin is now the subject of a rescue operation by crews who are currently deciding the best way to guide it back into the Pacific Ocean. 

Swimming in circles and appearing to be confused and disoriented, the dolphin remains in the shallow waters of the canal, though how the mammal ended up there is still unknown. 

Nearby, a pod of about half a dozen other dolphins have been spotted by onlookers and rescue personnel, leading many to the conclusion that they are waiting for their companion. (...)
