Temperature of 35 degrees beats a 15-year-old-record for Long Beach.
The temperature of 35 degrees last night at Long Beach Airport broke the record for this date of 37 degrees set in 1996. At 12:30 Sunday afternoon the temperature was 56 degrees at our coast with winds at 5 mph, according to the Southern California Coastal Observing System. The National Weather Service predicts a low of 42 tonight in our area.
