Pirates Bring High Seas Adventure To Belmont Pier

Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier Plays Host To Pier Daze Pirate Invasion Faire & Festival

Pirates invaded the Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier today and left hundreds of smiling faces in their wake.

The pirates sang, posed for photos and even fought a musket battle against a sailing vessel that repeatedly tried to breach the pier throughout the day.

Merchants offered everything from pirate garb, including hooks and eye patches, to giant turkey legs for those willing to part ways with a few gold doubloons.

"Pirates are fun! Some are angry. One that I saw was really tall. Some pirates are missing an eye. Some have parrots. I wonder if the parrots poke out their eyes."
