Massive Waves Possible Today through Friday
At beaches to the south where must Belmont Shore and Naples surfers hit the waves, they're getting 15-foot bombs.
At the Shore's closest surf spots, massive waves are slamming the coast hard currently, with the Wedge in Newport Beach this afternoon getting 15-foot bombs as a south swell hits the Southland.
The high surf is expected to continue through Friday evening, with Orange County scoring the biggest waves bnut Los Angeles County beaches still getting big waves. And, as the Surfboard Man says, major wipeouts are inevitable.
The National Weather Service says the waves will generate strong and dangerous rip currents and that localized beach erosion is possible. Extreme negative times are expected in the mornings.
