A Long Beach man has been charged with the May 1 Alamitos Beach shooting, which police say was gang-related.
Devin Smith, 20, was fatally shot about 3:20 p.m. May 1 outside an apartment in the 1400 block of Florida Avenue, the Long Beach Police Department said. On May 14, police arrested Artileus Richardson, 23, of Long Beach. On May 17, the L.A. District Attorney filed charges against him with added allegations of gang involvement and weapons violations, the police department said in a release.
