Gale Force Winds off the Long Beach Coast

Can you say motion sickness?

"The weather is up and nasty along the Southern California coast," Patch Off the Hook columnist Philip Friedman reports Sunday afternoon. "Josh Solis, City of Long Beach, just shot this photo from the half-day boat owned by the City of Long Beach. Can anyone say Gale warning ( 34–47 knots, or 39–54 mph)? Most boats are headed home.
Hopefully, the weather will come down as there has been good white seabass fishing at Catalina as well as some local barracuda."
