CSULB Vigil for Japan: To Remember and Help Rebuild

Earl Burns Miller Garden is the site of a ceremony and fundraiser for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami.

Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster was joined Sunday evening by Consul General of Japan Juinichi Ihara and local community leaders in a candlelight vigil and fundraiser for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan on March 11. The event at Cal State Long Beach’s Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden was free and open to the public but donations were accepted for the U.S./Japan Council Earthquake Relief Fund.
