Belmont Shore Patch has a few ideas for where you can watch, cheer and jeer the world's biggest sporting event. Plus, send us your best fan outfit photos.

It’s that time of year again, where those of us infatuated with the pigskin throw inhibition to the wind and invulge in the chicken wing skin.

It’s the weekend of Super Bowl Sunday. Super Bowl XVLI.

Those Shore residents not deterred by the thought of an all east coast Super Bowl matchup, those not put off by the fact that New York City has two teams and Los Angeles can’t even sniff a franchise, well, they’ll be looking for somewhere to park it Sunday and enjoy a charged Super Bowl atmosphere.

Here are a few of the usual suspects that will find themselves responsible with making Sunday all it can be:

 - 5100 East 2nd Street, Belmont Shore

Local football fans can have their cake and eat it, too, at Panama Joe’s Cantina and Grill, as during the game, the place the kids call “PJ’s” will be raffling off thousands of dollars worth of prizes, including Lakers and Clippers tickets, a Burton snowboard, a Beach Cruiser, surfboards, and a flat screen TV amongst other gifts.

PJ’s will open at 9 a.m. on Sunday to serve breakfast, and those arriving after 12 p.m. can purchase a $20 open bar voucher which lasts until the end of the game. Also offered will be a special Super Bowl menu, reserved seating, and a wing-eating contest officially titled “Battle for the Bones.”

PJ’s offers over 60 high-definition televisions, as well as a 90-inch viewing screen.

 - 5236 East 2nd Street, Belmont Shore

Legendary could certainly be used to describe Legends’ nearly 30 ft. high-definition projection screen, amongst the largest in the nation.

Legends also boasts an 18 ft. HD projection screen and 3D TV’s in the Sky Box portion of the bar, and what better day than Super Bowl Sunday for Shore residents to get a taste of sports viewing at its largest level.

In the past, Legends opened at 1 p.m. on Super Bowl Sundays, but this year, Legends will open at 9 a.m. to serve breakfast and invite football fans to get their seats early. Those arriving after 11 a.m. will pay a $30 cover, which includes a $10 voucher that can be redeemed at the sports bar up until March 15.

Also offered will be a special Super Bowl menu, and each guest will receive a raffle ticket giving them a chance to win several prizes, including snowboards, golf bags, and Legends apparel.

 - 5716 East 2nd Street, Belmont Shore

For those pigskin lovers used to taking to the grill for Super Bowl Sunday, Kelly’s has got you covered.

In celebration of the Super Bowl, Kelly’s hold an outdoor barbeque Sunday morning beginning at 11 a.m. with Santa Maria’s mesquite barbeque. Included will be grilled tri-tip, marinated grilled half chicken, and Kobe beef hot dogs amongst other grilled delights.

Also included will be several drink specials and a special game-day menu.

- 5335 East 2nd Street, Belmont Shore

If it's drink specials you're looking for, Shannon's might be the best fit for you.

On Sunday, this local dive bar will have $2 Bud Light bottles during the first half of the game, and $3 Bud Lights during the second half.

Shannon's will open at 10am in anticipation of the big game and encourages football fans to arrive early and get a good seat.

- 5734 East 2nd Street, Belmont Shore

KCB's will offer happy hour prices during the game, as well as five big screen televisions, one of which is set up on the restaurant patio, for residents to get their football fix.

If you do go to KCB's for the game, they're known for their corned beef hash sandwich and corned beef and cabbage.
