SoCal Gasoline Prices Higher Today than a Year Ago

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent Friday to $4.178, its highest amount since June 7.

The average price is 1.2 cents more than one week ago, 29 cents higher than one month ago and 21.6 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has not changed by more than two-tenths of a cent for five consecutive days.

The Orange County average price also rose by one-tenth of a cent Friday, the fifth consecutive day it has not changed by more than two-tenths of a cent.

The Orange County average price of $4.157 is at its highest amount since June 5 and 1.4 cents more than a week ago, 28.1 cents higher than one month ago and 21.7 cents greater than one year ago.

"Local gas prices have risen by nearly 50 cents since July, when Southland motorists were paying about $3.70 a gallon on average," said Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California. "So far, the year-to- date average price for California gas is $4.04, 23 cents above the 2011 annual average price of $3.81."

What would a judge do with AB 118 Nunez/Arnold? AAA said it would not pass a court test. GMO corn food will be considered for a label in November. GMO Corn in my food and gas stinks. Arnold ask the fed for a waiver and the Clinton EPA agreed Arnold-W EPA said NO and agrees with MITT. UN, World Bank, many Governors, Several Congressmen, Bill Clinton & Al Gore say GMO ethanol in the gas is bad policy.
