Even the Cheapest Is More Than $4 a Gallon
The averages posted in all local areas are now $4.10 and above.
Southern California gas prices continue their uptick this week, with the averages posted in all local areas now at $4.10 and above, according to the Automobile Club of Southern California’s Weekend Gas Watch.
The most recent hike brings the average prices up to a $1 more than it was at the same time last year.
In the Long Beach-Los Angeles area, the average price is $4.124 per gallon, 6.9 cents more than last week, 21 cents higher than last month and up $1.02 from last year.
The average price in Orange County is at $4.114 per gallon, 7.1 cents more than last week, according to the Automobile Club.
“With prices that are a dollar higher than this time last year, most drivers are feeling an impact on their budgets,” said Auto Club spokesman Jeffrey Spring. “Consumers can get an idea of the true cost of operating their vehicles with AAA’s new ‘Your Driving Costs’ brochure available at local branches and onlineat AAAPublicAffairs.com.”
The Weekend Gas Watch monitors the average price of gasoline.
According to MapQuest, the lowest price for gas in the U.S. is $3.18 in Arnegard, N.D., and the highest is here in California—$5.47 in Death Valley.
The stations currently selling the cheapest gas in the Belmont Shore-Naples area are listed below. Local prices are according to GasBuddy.com and reflect prices reported within the last 24 hours.
