Prices Climb 17 Cents but Here are Your Local Deals

But increases have slowed a bit in Southern California overall.

The cheapest gallon of regular fuel in our area costs 17 cents more than last week, as gas prices inched toward $4 per gallon.

Increases have slowed a bit in Southern California overall, as averages get closer to $4 a gallon, according to the Automobile Club of Southern California’s Weekend Gas Watch

The average price of self-serve regular gasoline in the Long Beach-Los Angeles region is $3.934 per gallon, according to the Automobile Club.

That’s 11.3 cents more than a week ago, 53 cents higher than last month and 86 cents higher than one year ago.

According to MapQuest, the lowest price for gas in the U.S. is $2.89 and the highest is $4.65.
